
Starlit Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Starlit for your event planning, photography, and rental needs. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies cover all interactions with Starlit and must be acknowledged by checking the box to indicate you’ve read and accepted these terms.

GENERAL POLICY
1. Booking & Payments
a. A deposit is required to confirm bookings:
i. Event Planning: 30% of the total service fee
ii. Photography: 20% of the total service fee
iii. Rentals: 30% of the total rental fee
b. Full payment is due 1 day before the event/confirmed date.
c. Prices are subject to change without notice; confirmed bookings will honor quoted rates at the time of booking.
2. Payment Terms & Late Fees
a. Late payments may incur a 2% monthly interest fee. Payments must be settled before the event or service begins to avoid cancellation.
3. Cancellation Policy
a. Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds may vary based on the service type and timing of the cancellation:
i. Event Planning:
1. 30+ Days Before Event: 50% refund of the deposit.
2. Less than 30 Days Before Event: No refund on the deposit.
3. Less than 14 Days Before Event: Full payment required.
4. In all cases of cancellation any costs incurred for venues or third-party vendors are the client’s responsibility.
ii. Photography:
1. 14+ Days Before Session: Full refund of deposit.
2. 7-13 Days Before Session: 50% refund of deposit.
3. Less than 7 Days Before Session: No refund on deposit.
iii. Rentals:
1. 14+ Days Before Event: Full refund of deposit.
2. 4-13 Days Before Event: 50% refund of deposit.
3. Less than 4 Days Before Event: No refund on deposit.
4. Rescheduling Policy
a. Clients may request to reschedule rental and photography services at least 14 days before the scheduled date. For requests made less than 14 days before the agreed-upon date, fees may apply and availability cannot be guaranteed.
b. Event planning services require at least 30 days' notice for rescheduling to avoid additional fees. For requests made less than 30 days before the event, fees may apply and availability cannot be guaranteed.
c. For all services, all rescheduling requests are subject to availability, and any rescheduling costs incurred with third-party vendors or venues will be the client’s responsibility.
d. Weather-Dependent Services: For weather-related rescheduling, especially for outdoor photography or events, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new date. Additional fees may apply for venue or vendor adjustments.
5. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
a. Starlit will not be held liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events. We will make every effort to reschedule or refund clients where possible.
6. Liability Waiver
a. Starlit is not liable for any injuries, property damage, or loss resulting from services provided, nor for any weather-related or unforeseen disruptions.
7. Privacy and Confidentiality
a. We respect your privacy. Any information shared with us is used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared without consent.
8. Dispute Resolution
a. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek resolution through negotiation or mediation before initiating any legal action.
EVENTS PLANNING POLICY
1. Service Scope
a. Our event planning services include venue sourcing, vendor coordination, event timeline management, event decor, etc.
b. We reserve the right to substitute vendors or make changes due to availability or unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified of any significant adjustments.
2. Client Responsibilities
a. Clients are responsible for adhering to all venue rules and regulations.
b. Any additional costs arising due to changes requested after the finalisation of the event plan will be billed separately.
c. Clients are responsible for acquiring any required permits for the event, including venue or city permits for noise, parking, etc.
3. Event Setup and Teardown
a. Setup and teardown times will be coordinated with the venue. Clients must notify us of any restrictions or additional requirements that may impact these timelines.
4. Rescheduling and Weather Policy
a. For outdoor events impacted by inclement weather, we will work with the client to reschedule if possible. Clients may also choose to relocate to an indoor venue if one is available. Any venue change fees or additional costs for third-party vendors due to rescheduling are the client's responsibility.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
1. Booking and Scheduling
a. Photography sessions are booked in advance. A 20% deposit is required to confirm photography sessions.
b. Session location(s) must be confirmed 7 days before the scheduled date.
2. Image Rights and Usage
a. Starlit retains the copyright to all images. Clients are granted a license for personal use of the images.
b. Commercial or promotional use of the images without prior permission from Starlit is prohibited.
3. Photo Delivery
a. Digital copies of photos will be delivered within 3 weeks post-event. Physical products, such as prints or albums, may require additional processing time.
4. Photo and Video Use Consent
a. By hiring Starlit, you consent to allow us to use photographs or videos from the event for promotional purposes, unless a written request for exclusion is submitted prior to the event.
5. Rescheduling and Weather Policy
a. If inclement weather affects an outdoor photography session, clients may reschedule without penalty. If rescheduling is not possible, an indoor location may be used as an alternative.
RENTAL POLICY
1. Rental Terms
a. All rental items are for 24-hour use unless otherwise agreed upon. Rental items must be returned by the designated time to avoid late fees.
2. Damage, Loss, and Cleaning Fees
a. Clients are responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required for rented items.
b. A damage deposit of 15% may be required. This deposit is refundable upon inspection of the items upon return.
c. Replacement Responsibility: If rental items are not returned, or if they are damaged upon return and cannot be reasonably repaired, the client will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the item(s).
3. Usage and Setup
a. Rental items must be used according to the guidelines provided by Starlit. Clients are responsible for ensuring items are used safely and correctly.
b. Our team may assist with setup upon request. Additional fees may apply for setup services, which will be detailed in your rental agreement.
4. Returns
a. Rental items must be returned in the condition in which they were delivered/picked-up. Failure to do so may result in additional fees to cover cleaning, repair, or replacement.
